There are three standard types of LRS construction supplied by ElectroDrives depending on the application and special requirements:
- Knife-type steel electrodes. This is the simplest mechanism for motor starting suitable for applications up to 4,000kW with resistance ratio of 50:1.
- Ring-type stainless-steel electrodes. This is intended for more demanding applications with typical resistance ratio of 80:1, single or dual motor applications and with power ranges up to 8,000kW (per motor).
- Ring-type delta-shape bronze electrodes. For applications requiring a resistance ratio of 120:1 or higher and a perfect balance of rotor current between the 3-phases during starting. Single or dual motor applications with power ranges up to 10,000kW (per motor).
